Brief reviews are short synopses and reviews of new books in education that may or may not receive longer treatment elsewhere in the Education Review. Brief Reviews call attention to current practical books for teachers and administrators. This section contains brief evaluative summaries of books from the current and previous years. Brief reviews are prepared under the direction of Melissa Cast-Brede of the University of Nebraska at Omaha (mcast@mail.unomaha.edu), the Education Review Brief Reviews Editor. The Founding Editor of ER Brief Reviews is Kate Corby of Michigan State University, who served as Editor from 1998 through 2008. New brief reviews will appear on about a monthly schedule.
