Author Biography

Kelly Morris Roberts, Meredith College

Kelly Morris Roberts, PhD, is an associate professor of English and program coordinator for 6-9 and 9-12 English licensure for prospective teachers at Meredith College, Raleigh, NC. Dr. Roberts also directs study abroad programs in Belize, Italy, and London, where her courses focus on young adult literature specific to those countries, postcolonial literature, and/or service learning in literacy. Her research interests include written reflections of pre-service and in-service teachers, written reflections on content area courses and goals-setting (e.g., Gallup Strengthsquest), portfolio assessment, gifted education, teacher education, and teacher retention.
