James A. Anderson, Jr., is an associate professor of English and English education at Lander University, where he teaches undergraduate courses in first-year writing, literature, and methods in the teaching of English language arts. He also serves as coordinator for the English education program. His research interests include the preparation of teacher candidates and best practices in literacy pedagogy in grades 6-12.
