Author Biography

Ratan Sarkar, Tezpur University

Dr. Ratan Sarkar serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education, Tezpur University (A Central University), Assam, India. Before joining Tezpur University, he held the position of Assistant Professor for nearly seven years in the Department of Teachers’ Training (B.Ed.) at Prabhat Kumar College, Contai (affiliated to Vidyasagar University), West Bengal, where he provided substantial academic and institutional leadership. He has also served as Guest Faculty at the NIEPID, RC, Kolkata. Dr. Sarkar earned his Ph.D. in education from Pondicherry University (A Central University), along with an M.Ed. and M.Phil. in special education from the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, Belur Math. He also holds an M.A. in education and technology from the Centre of Excellence in Teacher Education, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. His academic journey began with a B.Ed. in special education from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, and a B.A. in English (Honours) from Siliguri College, Darjeeling. He has published widely in SAGE, Springer, Routledge, and Wiley journals, authored books, registered patents, and led research projects under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Bridging teaching, research, and policy advocacy, Dr. Sarkar’s academic engagements are marked by a deep commitment to advancing inclusive, equitable, and technology-enabled learning ecosystems that promote both academic excellence and social justice.
