H. I. Braun, Boston College

H. I. Braun is the Boisi Professor of Education and Public Policy and Education Research in the Lynch School of Education at Boston College. Braun is director of the Boston College Center for the Study of Testing, Evaluation, and Education Policy. Among his years of consulting experience, he has contributed to the National Education Association and the Educational Testing Service. He was awarded the American Educational Research Association’s Division D Robert L. Linn Distinguished Address Award in 2018 and the Palmer Johnson Award in 1986. In 2017, he was elected to the prestigious National Academy of Education. He has also acted as a member of the steering committee for the National Academy of Education’s Working Group on International Large-Scale Assessment Surveys.
