Author Biography

Derek Gottlieb, University of Northern Colorado

Derek Gottlieb is an associate professor at the University of Northern Colorado’s College of Education and Behavioral Sciences. He is the president of the Ohio Valley Philosophy of Education Society, and he co-hosts Thinking in the Midst, a podcast about philosophy and action in education. Dr. Gottlieb studies school governance, accountability protocols, teacher-evaluation policies, and education funding. His work has appeared in the Washington Post, Phi Delta Kappan, and Education Next, among other places.
