Author Biography

Chloe Lopez Ridenour, Utah State University

Chloé López Ridenour is s a doctoral student in Utah State University’s Curriculum and Instruction program, with an emphasis in cultural studies. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science, with minors in women and gender studies and justice studies, as well as a master’s degree in elementary education. A Teach For America Phoenix alum, she has experience with alternative pathways into teaching. As an active-duty military spouse, she has worked across diverse educational settings, including special education, English language learner programs, and general education classrooms serving grades K–8. She currently serves as the Assistant Director for Utah State University’s Center for Academic Belonging & Learning Excellence. In this role, she leads initiatives that support first-generation college students, Habits of Mind curriculum, and oversees the center’s peer mentor training and development programs to enhance student success and academic belonging.
