Mariam Kushkaki, Arizona State University

Mariam Kushkaki is a doctoral student in the Writing, Rhetorics, and Literacies program at Arizona State University. Her research focuses primarily on first-year composition and popular culture, culturally sustaining pedagogy, and writing for transfer. She is also an English instructor and has taught courses ranging from basic composition to upper-division writing at the college and university levels.
