Leslie Brown, Utah State University

Leslie Brown is a PhD student studying engineering education at Utah State University (USU). Leslie recently completed her master’s degree in engineering education with a thesis focused on improving engineering instruction in high school classrooms. Leslie’s research interests include increasing accessibility for higher education engineering students and increasing a sense of belonging among minoritized groups in engineering education and industry spaces. During her time at USU, Leslie has served as the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) chapter President and as the information chair for the national ASEE Student Division. For her research and service, Leslie has received awards such as the Master’s researcher of the year and the Student Service award from USU’s Department of Engineering Education.
