Paul Shaker, Simon Fraser University

Paul Shaker is a career educator who has served as teacher, teacher educator, and dean in five of the United States, in the Mideast, and in Canada at Simon Fraser University where he is Professor Emeritus. Shaker created Friends of Simon, a tutoring outreach to immigrant children. He also hosted “Your Education Matters,” a British Columbia community engagement project found today on YouTube. Shaker is the co-author of Reclaiming Education for Democracy, an AERA Division K award winner. For more, see http://paulshaker.com.
