Maria M. Lewis, The Pennsylvania State University

Maria M. Lewis is an Associate Professor in Education Policy Studies and an affiliate law faculty at Pennsylvania State University. Her research is situated at the intersection of education law, policy, and leadership. She has a background in special education law, including conducting complaint investigations and compliance reviews related to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.

Julie F. Mead, University of Wisconsin-Madison

Julie F. Mead is Professor Emerita in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research examines topics related to education law. She has published numerous articles in both education and law journals and is recognized for her work on special education law and the legal issues regarding voucher programs and charter schools.
